About Atradius Singapore

Eric den Boogert was appointed to the position of Managing Director of Atradius Credit Insurance in Asia and the Middle East in 2011. A member of the Atradius Leadership Team, he is directly responsible for all operations and strategy in Asia and the Middle East.

Eric joined the company in 1995 and has worked in commercial functions located in the Netherlands (Breda), Germany (Cologne), the UK (London) and India (Mumbai) before relocating to Hong Kong in January 2006 to take on the post of Regional Sales Manager New Markets, He was later promoted to Deputy Regional Director New Markets and Country Manager for Hong Kong.

In his previous roles, Eric was responsible for business development in Japan, China, Hong Kong, India, UAE and Brazil as Regional Sales Manager, where he succeeded in achieving growth ahead of target every year.

A law graduate from Erasmus University, Rotterdam (Netherlands), Eric’s extensive experience of working with emerging markets in Asia, the Middle East and South America provides him with a highly developed commercial understanding, which has helped shape the services and solutions provided by Atradius in Asia.

Michael Frigo was appointed Managing Director of Atradius Credit Insurance N.V. for South East Asia in 2015. He is responsible for the Group’s offices, commercial activities and co-operation partnerships in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam. Prior to this, Michael was Atradius Singapore’s Country Manager where his work included overall responsibility for the local operations and expansion into the wider region.

Michael joined Atradius in 2008 as Senior Underwriting Manager in Singapore after a decade with Bank of New Zealand and National Australia Bank in Melbourne, Australia, where he specialised in cashflow lending and project finance. After joining Atradius he was instrumental in the migration of the South East Asian Risk Underwriting function from the Atradius Sydney office to Singapore, as well as managing the Japan Underwriting team.

Heike Gerdes was appointed to the position of Country Manager of Atradius Credit Insurance N.V. in Singapore in August 2015. She is responsible for developing the local market, nurturing customer-relationships and achieving strategic goals.

Prior to this, Heike was Head of Sales and Head of Commercial in South East Asia with responsibilities for the sales and account management teams. She has also headed up the Atradius Global Unit team of Austria, Greece, Switzerland and Turkey.

Heike is German and has degrees in Sociology (Diplom-Soziologe) and Business Administration (Diplom-Kauffrau).

Petr Racek was appointed to the position of Regional Head of Risk for South East Asia and Japan in April 2012. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for managing his region’s Risk Services team and achieving regional strategic goals.

Prior to this Petr was a Senior Underwriter with Atradius based in Sydney, Australia, originally working on the South East Asia portfolio before its transfer to Singapore. He has also worked as Senior Underwriter in Hong Kong, where he was instrumental in developing and extending the company’s underwriting services in the Asia-Pacific region.

Petr is also the Head of  Marine Underwriting Team at Atradius worldwide. He began his career in financial services and credit insurance with Citigroup.

Petr has a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Economics and Management from Prague’s University of Economics and an MBA.

Tony Au was appointed to the position of Regional Head of Atradius Collections in Asia Pacific in2008.  He is responsible for managing Collections operations, sales and regional expansion of the business across Asia and Oceania. 

Tony started his career in the Commercial Banking Department at Nanyang Commercial Bank.  He then joined Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation (HKECIC) where he held various senior positions in underwriting, business development, claims and recoveries. Prior to joining Atradius Collections in 2008, he worked as a Senior Underwriter at QBE Hong Kong & Shanghai Insurance and was mainly responsible for the underwriting and claims in trade credit insurance. 

Tony graduated with a BSc degree in Economics from the School of Business Management, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and received a LL.B. in Chinese Law from Tsinghua University.
